                                Silent Auction

                                The International Charity Flame On Down Under will feature an online auction following the event, with items creating over the weekend sold to support Spinal Cord Injuries Australia.

                                Those there on the weekend won’t miss out though, with a Silent Auction of flameworking gear, pieces donated by glass artists who won’t be able to join us, tours and classes. We’ll be putting some of the best of our silent auction items up here so you can get a taste of what we’ll have. It will also give Flame On Supporters, a chance to send absentee bids for some of the great gear.

                                If you want to lodge an absentee bid, send you contact details along with a starting bid and maximum bid for the item you are interested in to Caroline at sscpierc@bigpond.net.au. She’ll make sure that your bids are made on the weekend. Absentee bids need to be received by 5pm on Friday, September 30.

                                Below are the first of the items that will be in the Silent Auction. Watch this space because we’ll be updating these as they come in.


                                Item 1

                                GTT’s new Sidewinder torch, a two-stage torch with a 7-jet centre and 15-jet outer fire. Produces tiny pinpoint to 6.3x76cm flame seize for solid boro work up to 7.5cm in diameter. Designed with concentrators, low pressure and low consumption in mind, it will run on 2x 8 LPM concentrators.

                                Item 2

                                GTT Scorpion, a torch which uses the Cricket as its centre flame and has an 8-jet outer fire. The Scorpion makes the flame size of larger torches with fewer jets, Great for both soft glass and borosilicate.

                                GTT Cricket, an entry to intermediate-level torch capable of working both soft and borosilicate glass with ease. Designed for economy it can be on 1/4 PSI fuel gas and 3 PSI oxygen!
